Dominic, Catherine of Siena, Giorgio la Pira, these are just a few of the names of important brothers and sisters of the Dominican Order – some of them saints and blessed. These are the people we Dominicans look up to.

Why are these people still so enormously attractive to us today?
Because they show us in many different ways what God can do with a person's life. The more these people trusted Jesus' words about a merciful and loving God, the more liberatingly they experienced God's power in their daily lives. Their biographies continue to express this for us. And that's why we remember, honor, and celebrate our role models.
