Dominic, Catherine of Siena, Giorgio la Pira, these are just some of the names of important brothers and sisters of the Dominican Order - some of whom are saints and blessed. These are the people we Dominicans take as our role models.

Why are these people still so enormously attractive to us today?
Because they show us in many different ways what God can do with human life. The more these people trusted Jesus' words about a merciful and loving God, the more liberatingly they experienced God's power in their daily lives. Their life stories continue to express this for us. And that is why we remember, honour and celebrate their examples.
