Dominic, Catherine of Siena, Giorgio La Pira – these are just a few of the many outstanding brothers and sisters of the Dominican Order. Among them are both saints and beatified. These are people whom we Dominicans take as our role models.

Why are they so appealing to us today?
Because they show in different ways what God can do with human life. The more they trusted Jesus' words about a merciful and loving God, the more liberating they experienced God's power in their daily lives. Their lives speak of this experience even today. That is why we remember them, honor their lives, and celebrate their memory.
