On May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., the Roman Catholic Church will solemnly beatify Archbishop Eduard Profittlich (www.profittlich.eu) during a Holy Mass celebrated on the Town Hall Square in Tallinn . Beatification is the first stage in the canonization of someone as a saint, according to Roman Catholic tradition. On this historic occasion, the brothers of the Dominican Order of Tallinn and the lay members of the Dominican Order of Fra Angelico will organize a public reading of the names of 22,601 men, women and children who died as victims of the communist regime in Estonia during the Soviet occupation in 1941–1981.
April 29: Feast of St. Catherine of Siena. St. Catherine of Siena is the co-patroness of Europe and the patroness of the Dominican monastery in Tallinn.
On the occasion of the patron saint’s day of the Dominican monastery and chapels of Tallinn, we invite you to the Dominican chapel on April 29 at 6:30 p.m. for a holy mass and evening meal. After that, drinks will be served in the parish hall.
